The first Shramik Special train, which left from Bangalore with migrants and other passengers on Sunday, entered Tripura on Wednesday afternoon.

The Shramik Special train will reach Badarghat railway station amid the COVID-19 crisis in next couple of hours.

According to the NF Railway sources, the Shramik Special Train to Tripura began its journey from Bangalore at 5 pm on Sunday.

There are a total of 1,200 passengers on the train.

For the first time that Shramik Special train has reached Tripura with migrants and other people stranded in other states.

These special trains are running from end to end on the request of both the concerned State Governments as per the standard protocols for sending and receiving such stranded persons.
