Guwahati: The police have arrested one suspect in connection with the Hengrabari e-rickshaw driver murder case in Guwahati, Assam on Tuesday.
The accused has been identified as Tileswar who happens to be an e-rickshaw driver himself.

As per reports, the accused had earlier stabbed an e-rickshaw driver to death following a “small” fight.
The deceased was identified as Khagen Das.

Locals claimed that a fight had taken place between a woman and Tileswar but Khagen Das intervened.
However, the intervention did not go well and Tileswar had another fight with Khagen.

In fury, Tileswar brought a knife from a nearby shop and stabbed Das.
Das succumbed to the injuries before any medical help could arrive.
The incident took place near the Hengerabari LP School.
Police arrested the accused from the area based on a complaint by the locals and Khagen’s family.
An investigation is now being carried and Tileswar has been taken into custody, a police source said.
