The Delhi Government had notified its COVID death compensation policy, which will pave way for grant of ex-gratia of Rs 50,000 for COVID victims.
According to this policy, a one-time payment of Rs 50,000 and a sum of Rs 2,500 per month will be given to the families who have lost bread winners.
Moreover, one member of the victim’s family would also be considered for enrolment as a civil defence volunteer.
Children, below the age of 25, who have lost both parents, will also be eligible for the Rs 2,500 compensation.

Documents required:
One-time compensation of Rs 50,000:
- Proof of residence of both deceased and dependents.
- Death certificate
- Proof of Covid death
- Documents establishing relationship between deceased and applicant
- Bank Account details of the applicant.
Monthly financial assistance (Rs 2,500):
- Proof of residence (Delhi address).
- Death certificate
- Proof of Covid death
- Documents establishing relationship between deceased and applicant
- Bank Account details of the applicant.
- In case of disabled dependent sibling, disability certificate.
- Proof of age of the dependent children.
