Addressing concerns about the MDA’s stability following the NPP and its coalition partners’ defeat in the Lok Sabha election, Sangma said he would review the situation and hold discussions with coalition partners. “We will complete this term, work stably, and continue to serve the people,” he affirmed.
In response to the VPP’s call for the MDA Government to step down, Sangma emphasized that the government was formed based on the mandate given by the people in the Assembly election.

Accepting the NPP’s loss, he defended the party’s poor performance in both seats, stating, “Each election is different, with unique ideas. Comparisons between elections are not valid.”
Sangma stressed the importance of political parties learning from their mistakes and addressing issues to move forward. Regarding the loss of a 46-year-old legacy in Tura, he noted that such political trends are common and occur in various constituencies and states.
