Paragliding championship in Korajhar

The 1st Bodoland International Paragliding Accuracy Championship, 2019, began at Dangdufur Hill in Kokrajhar on Monday.

A wide range of programmes has been lined up at the championship to the delight of the visitors and the participants.

Assam social welfare minister Pramila Rani Brahma flagged off the competition.

Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) deputy chief Khampa Borgoyary, principal secretary Biren Chandra Phukon, Kokrajhar DC Parta Pratim Majumdar and BTC EM Doneswar Goyary also attended the inauguration

Organised by the BTC tourism department, around 130 gliders from 9 countries are participating in the championship.

The participating nations are China, Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Indonesia, Taiwan, Korea, Malaysia, Mongolia Nepal, and India.

The championship will continue till Thursday.
