Students felicitated

All Assam Students’ Union (AASU) assistant general secretary Jayanta Kumar Bhattacharya on Saturday urged the students to work hard to achieve their goals.
“We are living in a rat-race competition and have been facing challenges for survival. If we work hard in our fields, it would pay us back in the form of recognition. We must have determination and definite goals in our life,” observed AASU leader Bhattacharya while addressing an assembly of students who excelled in the last High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) and Higher Secondary (HS) Examinations.
The programme was also attended by the parents and teachers of the respective schools and colleges under the jurisdiction of Udalguri regional students’ union here at Bishnu Rabha Kristi Sangha premises of Udalguri town.
Addressing the assembly, the student leader stated that the event of  felicitation is an effort to encourage and inspire the young talents in every nook and corner of the State and hoped that the students would dream high and work hard to fulfill their aspirations.

The felicitation programme, organised by the Udalguri regional unit of AASU, was chaired by Abhijeet Kashyap and was also addressed by general secretary of Gauhati University Students’ Union, Monjit Sarmah, assistant general secretary of AASU, Duldul Borkakoty, president and secretary, Pranjal Patowary and Saiful Haque respectively of the Udalguri district committee AASU.
A total of 370 HS and HSLC candidates who had passed out the last examinations with flying colours under the jurisdiction of Udalguri regional unit of AASU were felicitated by the students’organisation with a japi, phulam gamocha and certificates of
proficiency on the occasion.
