Guwahati: Northeast Frontier (NF) Railway has decided to operate a DEMU special train between Guwahati and Barpathar to meet the escalating demand of passengers.

The train will operate daily for four trips each in both directions starting from May 18 until May 21, 2024, according to an NF Railway statement.

This will provide an alternative travel medium for the convenience of the daily commuters on this important route, it said.

Accordingly, special train no. 07676 (Barpathar – Guwahati) will depart from Barpatharat at 05:15 hours to reach Guwahati at 12:45 hours on the same day.

In the return direction, special train no. 07675 (Guwahati – Barpathar) will depart from Guwahati at 01:00 pm to reach Barpathar at 09:20 pm on the same day. During its both-way journey, the special train will have a stoppage at every station en-route.

The details of stoppages and timings of this train are available on the IRCTC website and are also being notified in various newspapers and social media platforms of N. F. Railway.

Passengers are requested to verify the details before undertaking their journey, NF Railway said.
