Congress’ candidate from Thowra constituency in Assam’s Jorhat district has been allegedly attacked by BJP workers.
According to reports, Susanta Borgohain was attacked while he was taking part in election campaigning in Thowra on Sunday afternoon.
The incident reportedly took place outside the Rajmai Tea Estate.
Although, it is yet to be ascertained as to who was behind the attack, but Susanta Borgohain has alleged that supporters of BJP candidate from the Thowra constituency – Kushal Dowari are behind the attack.

A similar attack was also reported from Haflong constituency.
All India Mahila Congress General Secretary – Danasari Anasuya alleged, “Congress karyakarta cars were attacked by BJP goons trained by Gujarat model.”
