Top Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi, who is in Assam on two-day tour of Assam has said that the decision of the voters of the State will either make Assam or break Assam.
Addressing a massive election rally at Khumtai, Priyanka Gandhi asked the voters to exercise their franchise judiciously.
“Your decision this elections would either secure the future of your children or break Assam,” Priyanka Gandhi said.

Launching a scathing attack on the BJP, Priyanka Gandhi alleged that Assam in the last five years had two chief ministers instead of a strong chief minister.
“You were promised that your Chief Minister would be Assamese. You were promised that your Chief Minister would run a strong government. But what did you get instead? You got two Chief Ministers,” said Priyanka Gandhi.

Further slamming Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the anti-CAA protests in Assam, Priyanka Gandhi said that the PM never felt sorry for his decision of passing the controversial act.
“When anti-CAA protests were at its peak in Assam, why didn’t he felt sorry? Where Assam was burning, why didn’t he felt sorry? Why didn’t he appeared before you? Why didn’t he apologised then?” asked Priyanka Gandhi asked the people.

Priyanka Gandhi further sharpened her attack on the BJP Government over the rising unemployment issue.
“In the last election, BJP promised to provide 25 lakh jobs. Did you get those jobs? No,” said Priyanka Gandhi.
“You were told that Clause 6 of the Assam Accord – which protects your culture – will be implemented. Has that happened yet? No,” added Priyanka Gandhi.
