He also warned the government for trying to derail anti-CAA movement by using communal forces.

Renowned singer Bipin Chawdang said that he received threats over the phone for his songs of protests.

“No matter what, I will continue to protest against CAA,” he said.

AASU general secretary Lurin Jyoti Gogoi said the anti-CAA stir in Assam has not decreased as claimed by the state governments.

He blamed the government for using an iron fist towards the movement by killing five protesters.

“Assamese people will not like to live as second class citizens,” he said.

He also slammed union home minister Amit Shah for treating Assam as a colony for the illegal migrants.

“CAA has been declared discriminatory and communal internationally including by the UN,” he added.

He also informed that the state government has allocated Rs. 6 crores for the people to be settled in Assam via CAA.

“The government has no fund to allocate for tackling the flood and erosion problems of Assam. However, it has money for the illegal migrants,’ Gogoi added.
