Bangladeshi infiltrators were found to be involved in the violence that shook East Delhi’s Seemapuri and Seelampur areas in December 2019 during the massive anti-CAA stir.

This was revealed by a special investigating team (SIT) of the Delhi Police.

“Delhi Police have identified the involvement of at least 15 Bangladeshi infiltrators who allegedly perpetrated the violence in Seemapuri during the anti-CAA protests,” said police sources.

“These 15 illegal Bangladeshi nationals were among the crowd of miscreants involved in the rioting following the Friday prayers in the Seemapuri area. They would be arrested soon,” police sources added.

Sources further informed that the SIT will also interrogate the accused arrested in Tihar after seeking court’s permission.

Delhi Police has also found that Seelampur violence was instigated by illegal Bangladeshi Muslims.

“An organised group of Bangladeshi infiltrators instigated the violence in Seelampur area,” informed Delhi Police’s crime branch.
