Assam Governor Prof Jagdish Mukhi on Thursday contributed one monthโs gross salary amounting to Rs 3,50,000 to the Chief Ministerโs Relief Fund to support the Assam governmentโs operations against the coronavirus outbreak.
It may be noted that Governorโs principal private secretary S N Bhowmick handed over the cheque to the chief minister at the latterโs office chamber in Janata Bhawan on behalf of the Governor.

The Governor also appealed to all to contribute generously to the Chief Ministerโs Relief Fund and also extend support to the government by avoiding social gathering and showing solidarity with Prime Minister Narendra Modiโs call for a nationwide lockdown to break the vicious chain of infection induced by the novel coronavirus.
