Assam Governor Prof Jagdish Mukhi on Thursday contributed one month’s gross salary amounting to Rs 3,50,000 to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund to support the Assam government’s operations against the coronavirus outbreak.
It may be noted that Governor’s principal private secretary S N Bhowmick handed over the cheque to the chief minister at the latter’s office chamber in Janata Bhawan on behalf of the Governor.

The Governor also appealed to all to contribute generously to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund and also extend support to the government by avoiding social gathering and showing solidarity with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s call for a nationwide lockdown to break the vicious chain of infection induced by the novel coronavirus.
