Bordumsa in Changlang district of Arunachal Pradesh has recorded eight fresh COVID-19 cases taking the total to 30 on Wednesday evening.
The Rapid Antigen Test in past four days has been depicting a constant rise in its graphs.
The number of total positive cases till Tuesday was 17 which were detected after conducting tests on government employees, their dependents and a section of businessmen for past three days.
In past four days, the total number of positive cases has risen to 30.

In all 210 persons from the business community were tested on Wednesday of which eight turned positive.
All the infected patients who inhabit the adjoining of Margherita sub-division in Assam’s Tinsukia district, but runs various business on Arunachal Pradesh side were asymptomatic and were in good health conditions.
“The constant movements of the people from across the borders on both sides have been restricted after detection of positive cases to further arrest the possible contamination,” said Changlang deputy commissioner Dr Devansh Yadav.
“Our frontline teams would be pressed to conduct Rapid Antigen test in two vulnerable villages including Galenja and Goju in Bordumsa based on tracing and recent movements of the patients attending social gathering.
‘We have sent 900 Rapid Antigen Kits to Bordumsa so far and COVID warriors have been working tirelessly ‘, said Yadav.
“Following the recent travel history of an infected person of Bordumsa who had attended a social gathering in Miao a test was conducted today wherein five persons turned positive,” informed the administrator.
“In a separate case, a staff of M/S Changlang Plywood (Pvt) limited at 9 Mile Changlang Industrial Area has tested positive on Wednesday afternoon,” informed Yadav.
Meanwhile, the constant rise in the Bordumsa COVID-19 graph has caused immense panic among the people as the cases except one were detected from among the community people and government employees.
Though most of the areas have been delineated as containment and buffer zones for effective tracing and test, yet the to and from movements of the border people on both sides have been reported which is a case of serious concern.
There has been an opinion that unless the testing procedure is accelerated, the virus cannot be contained.
At least 5000 test per day is the need of the hour to realize the end effectively.
“The businessmen exposing to easy vulnerability sneaked into Assam and returned to Arunachal with their purchased commodities to promote their business and in the bid might have led to community transmission,” said a local Singpho leader.
“Even an SBI security guard defying the set guidelines of the local administration sneaks into his Assam’s Tinsukia residence every weekend which is just an example to show how serious are the people during the pendamic,” said a teacher of Goju Village.
There is no denying the fact that Bordumsa is heading towards community transmission and if cooperation from people of all fronts is not secured at the right earnest, frontline warriors alone cannot help.
