As per a claim on a Telegram Channel, run by a former “Kremlin Insider”, Putin was found lying on the floor of his bedroom by guards.

Overturned food and drinks were seen near Putin, who was found lying on the floor of his bedroom, at around 9:05 pm on Sunday (October 22), the Telegram Channel claimed.

“Doctors performed resuscitation, having previously determined that the president was in cardiac arrest. Help was provided on time, the heart was started and Putin regained consciousness,” the Telegram channel reported.

Based on this claim, the prominent western media outlets and media houses in India filed reports stating the 71-year-old Russian President suffered a cardiac arrest.

However, these media houses failed to recognise that the Telegram Channel, based on whose claims they filed the reports about Putin’s health, has been infamous for spreading false and unverified information about Putin’s health and alleged use of body doubles.

“Everything is fine with him, this is absolutely another fake,” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov was quoted by media as saying.

The spokesman laughed in response to a further question about body doubles, and denied that Putin had any.
