Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday lauded the efforts of the little children who contributed to the PM-CARES Fund to fight COVID-19.
The Prime Minister took to Twitter to appreciate the ‘large-heartedness’ of the children who had decided to contribute in whatever way they can in helping the country fight this worrying crisis.
“Have been seeing thoughtful messages of young children contributing to PM-CARES. This is special because they are contributing from their piggy banks. We yet again see the large-heartedness of young India,” he tweeted.

Apart from contributing to the PPM’s Citizen Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situations (PM-CARES) fund, a number of children had also contributed generously to the relief funds of their states.
To fight the COVID19 pandemic, a 7-year-old boy Rommel Lalmuansanga from Venglai in Mizoram’s Kolasib district has come forward to donate his entire savings to the Village Level Task Force.
Mizoram chief minister Zoramthanga praised the little boy for donating Rs 333 in cash and coins.
To fight against COVID-19, a kindergarten student from Bhubaneswar in Odisha has also contributed his entire piggy bank savings to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.
The Upper KG student, identified as Ayush Das, who studies in DAV Public School, donated Rs 1,137 from his piggy bank to the CMRF.
