Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has heaped praises on Indian Army for the ‘charismatic’ performance of the Indian Army during the India-China standoff in Ladakh.
Rajnath Singh said that that the Army has raised the morale and pride of the Country by their ‘commendable’ work during the standoff.
“During India-China standoff, commendable work of Indian Army has raised the morale of the country, and lifted its head with pride,” said Defence Minister Rajnath Singh.
Rajnath Singh said this in Lucknow while attending the foundation laying ceremony of a new hospital at Headquarters of the Indian Army’s Central Command.
Rajnath Singh had reiterated India’s resolve to stand firm and defend its territory.

Rajnath Singh cautioned “any superpower” against challenging India.
“If any superpower wants to hurt our pride then our soldiers are capable of giving them a befitting reply,” Rajnath Singh said.
Notably, India and China have been locked in a prolonged stand-off at the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in Ladakh sector since May last year.
Tensions between both the Asian giants reached its peak in June last year, when 20 Indian soldiers, including a Colonel ranked officer, were killed in a violent clash with China’s PLA troopers at Galwan Valley.

Both India and China have deployed thousands of troops and highly sophisticated and mechanised weapons in the forward areas along LAC.
