Explosive Australian opening batsman David Warner shared a video in which he was seen shaving off his hair.
This, he says, is his way to show respect towards professionals who are currently the first line of defence against the coronavirus pandemic.
The Australian opener posted a video on his Instagram account on which he can be seen shaving his head with a trimmer.
“Been nominated to shave my head in support of those working on the frontline #COVID-19 here is a time-lapse. I think my debut was the last time I recall I’ve done this. Like it or not,” he wrote.
Later, the southpaw also nominated Indian skipper Virat Kohli, and his Australian teammates Steve Smith, Pat Cummins and Marcus Stoinis to accept the challenge and shave their heads.
So far 19 people have died of COVID-19 in Australia and over 4000 others have tested positive.
