A video of two children appealing for help from Tripura chief minister Biplab Kumar Deb has reportedly gone viral.
The children are residents of Kalitila area of Bishalgarh in Tripura’s Sepahijala district.

Their father Alak Debnath reportedly succumbed to Covid-19 infection recently.
Since Debnath was the sole earning member, the family was facing financial problems following his death.
Meanwhile, after seeing the viral video, the Childline authorities on Monday rushed to the residence of the two kids in Bishalgarh.

They provided financial assistance to the distressed family and also took the responsibility of educating the children.

Childline is a national helpline for children run by the Childline India Foundation under the Union ministry of women and child development.
The toll free helpline that operates round-the-clock, provides all forms of assistance to children in distress across India.
The Childline authorities were accompanied by prominent people of the area, including Shanatan Debnath, a member of the Sepahijala district’s agri-assistant committee, and BJP leader Tapan Das.
On the other hand, a poor student recently appealed to the chief minister for help through a video on his Facebook page.
The student who is a resident of Maheshkhala in West Tripura district asked Deb for assistance for her ailing mother, who had been suffering from Covid-19.
Deb who noticed the video, then directed the officials concerned to provide the student’s family with assistance in the form of food items, medicines for her ailing mother and a study table for her.
