Mizoram’s COVID-19 scenario continues to be grim.
The state has reported 317 new cases, which took the total cases tally to 13996.
Meanwhile, no new COVID-19 fatality has been reported from Mizoram.
The State’s COVID-19 death toll currently stands at 55.

The new 317 cases were detected after conducting tests of 3,967 samples.
The new 317 cases were detected in Mizoram at a positivity rate of 7.99%, state information and public relations department said in a statement.
Of the 317 new cases, 128 were detected through RT-PCR tests at the Zoram Medical College near Aizawl, 168 through Rapid Antigen Test and 21 via TrueNat tests.
With the detection of 317 new cases, Mizoram’s active cases tally has shot up to 3388.

Aizawl has the highest number of active cases of the State – 2533.
Meanwhile, 10553 people in Mizoram so far have also recovered from the deadly disease.
