The Ministry of Food Processing Industries in association with FINER successfully organized Swachhata Pakhwada Campaign at Bhaskar Vidyapeeth Higher Secondary School in Guwahati on Tuesday.

The Swachhata Pakhwada Campaign is an environment awareness campaign under the Swachh Bharat Mission.

This campaign is aimed for achieving total sanitisation and cleanliness by October 2, 2019 under the Swacchh Bharat Mission.

Under the campaign, a theme-wise ‘Swachh Bharat Fortnight’ being organised by different ministries.

Along with other ministries, the Ministry of Food Processing Industries also took the initiative in association with the Federation of Industry and Commerce of North Eastern Region (FINER), Guwahati of conducting the Swachhata Pakhwada Campaign programme at Bhaskar Vidyapeeth Higher Secondary School in the city.

During the campaign, dustbins and other items were also provided to the school so that those can be used to keep the school campus clean.

Leaflets on cleanliness were also distributed among the tiny school students and lectures were also delivered at the school so that the students can be made aware of cleanliness.

The campaign is a voluntary exercise and objective is to create awareness, target programmes, invite pledges, spending of CSR, etc.

The Swachhata Pakhwada Campaign has also been followed by private institutions and corporate groups.

Informing about the campaign, Federation of Industry and Commerce of North Eastern Region (FINER), Guwahati stated on its official Twitter account on Tuesday: “Ministry of Food Processing Industries in association with FINER has successfully organized Swachhata Pakhwada Campaign in Bhaskar Vidyapeeth Higher Secondary School, Guwahati, Assam.”
