Expelled ‘major general’ Jackson Pochury of the NSCN Reformation/GPRN has raised demand for proper investigation as per the law of the ‘Naga Army’ regarding the expulsion as well as an explanation from the ‘president’ of the group, according to a statement issued by him.
“For the past two days after my expulsion, I’m still waiting for the President to come forward with his reasonable point through which I had been expelled. Being a leader doesn’t mean to be the boss of a group or faction in this major developing stage of the Naga issue. Was it a cabinet decision or a House discussion through which I had been expelled?”

He stated that there was never a possibility for the President alone to take such extreme action against a ‘supreme power holder’ because ‘according to the law of the Naga army’, he should have been called to the ‘President’s’ office and interrogated to know exactly what had happened.
“If at all I had been found guilty, still I was not supposed to be expelled but rather demoted to a lower rank or suspended for a particular duration. Was the president really ignorant and unaware of the law of the Naga army? If so, why does he not educate himself about the law and come forward with an apology? Why is the President keeping so silent after I gave clarification about Mr Tuitimiu’s report? Is it because he is still thinking that he did the right thing at the right time? In a civilized society today, narrow-minded and selfish people should not be allowed to lead the Nagas.
“The name of the faction itself says “reformation” which means to reform the people and the law leading the nation to an advanced stage. But today, the action of the President (Wangtin Naga) had tarnished the image of the GPRN/NSCN .R. Govt in particular and the image of the nation as a whole. I’m really upset to learn that president is so ignorant that he gave more importance to a man with devilish mindset then a veteran who is into the service of the nation for already more than 30 years of his life sacrificing everything for the greater cause of the nation. I also urge all educated and broad minded people to condemn such action like this of the president in the near future for the brighter days of the next Naga generation.

“One of the bitter truths for the creation of so many factions in our nation today is because of this type of leadership. When we can’t even maintain a peaceful atmosphere within ourselves, it is never possible for peace and solution to progress for the whole nation. It was so unwise of the president mentioning my ranking profile history and movement from one faction to another. If it is necessary, I will still continue my movement in search of a real nationalist and patriotic govt. We are a socialist govt., but in fact, this kind of action today showed a lot about dictatorship, partiality and selfishness. Quality and not quantity is the call of our nation today. My humble prayer for the Naga nation is may the educated and quality population come forward giving a helping hand to lead the nation to the brighter side of the world.”
