My Home India, the non government organization, is organizing NESt Fest 2018, a cultural and musical evening to welcome fresher students from the Northeast in Delhi at the Talkatora Stadium on Saturday.
The programme is scheduled to begin at 2 pm and it will continue up to 9.30 pm in the evening.

According to the organizers the programme will be attended by Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh as the Chief Guest.
Among others, who are expected to attend the meet are DoNER Minister Jitendra Singh, Union Science and Technology Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan, Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation Jayant Sinha, Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb, Assam Finance Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, Meghalaya Health and Family Welfare Minister A L Hek and BJP Tripura in-charge Sunil Deodhar.
Renowned Naga band group of Alobo Naga and Manipuri band group John Oinam, Assam’s youth icon Zubeen Garg, Souravhee Debbarma from Tripura are performing on the occasion.

A fashion show and cultural dances will also be performed by the students and various fashion and design groups from the north-eastern states.
My Home India is a national NGO which aims at bringing emotional integration between people from different parts of the country.
As a first step it has chosen the Northeast as its work domain.
The main objective of the NGO is to bridge the gap between the people of Northeast and the mainland india.
Some of the major initiatives of the NGO include creating awareness about the Northeast; to encourage and assist in arranging tours to the Northeast; to assist those who have to travel to the Northeast for work; to provide help line to Northeast students in the rest of the country; and the likes.
