The government was continuing with development works despite the spread of Covid-19, which hindered the development process in many ways.

The chief minister said that the proposed DC office complex will constitute several departments to help people in visiting government offices.

State power minister and Tawi assembly constituency MLA R. Lalzirliana, who also graced the event, said the state government has sanctioned Rs.10 crore each for the creation of district office complexes for three new districts, including Saitual.

The  Mizo National Front (MNF) government headed by Zoramthanga created Saitual along with Hnahthial and Khawzawl districts in 2019.
