Rajya Sabha MP from Meghalaya, Wansuk Syiem, has donated her one monthโs salary towards the Meghalaya Chief Ministerโs Relief Fund (CMRF) to combat COVID19.
On Tuesday, parliamentarian Wansuk Syiem handed over a cheque amounting to Rs. 1.10 lakh to Meghalaya chief minister Conrad K Sangma.

Sharing an image of handing over the chque, the Meghalaya Chief Minister โs Office (CMO) on its Twitter handle stated: Wansuk Syiem, the Honโble Rajya Sabha MP has donated her one monthโs salary amounting to Rs. 1 Lakh 10 thousand towards the Meghalaya Chief Ministerโs Relief Fund.โ

On Monday, Shillong Lok Sabha MP Vincent H Pala also donated an amount of Rs 1 lakh, which is his one monthโs salary towards the Meghalaya Chief Ministerโs Relief Fund (CMRF) to fight COVID19.
In a letter to the branch manager of the State Bank of India, Parliament House, New Delhi, Pala authorised the bank to debit an amount of Rs 1 lakh from his account and credit the same to the Meghalaya Chief Ministerโs Relief Fund (CMRF) Account No: 38617186405SBI, Meghalaya Secretariat Branch, Shillong.
The Meghalaya Chief Ministerโs Office (CMO) has thanked the Shillong MP for his gesture.
The CMO tweeted: โThanks to the Honโble MP Sh. @vincentpala for donating his one monthโs salary amounting to Rs.1 Lakh towards the Chief Ministerโs Relief Fund.โ
Meghalaya chief minister Conrad K Sangma recently urged all to extend financial support to help the needy during the 21-day lockdown and generously contribute towards the Chief Ministerโs Relief Fund (CMRF).
The chief minister had tweeted: โLetโs all stand united to champion #COVID2019 and help one another especially during the #21daylockdown.โ
โWe are #StrongerTogether.โ
The Meghalaya chief minister requested the people to donate online.
