The construction of the National Sports University at Imphal in Manipur has reportedly been put on hold.

The construction of the National Sports University has been reportedly halted following clashes that erupted between police and activists of local organisations on Friday.

Five police personnel were injured as agitators armed with deadly weapons barged into the under construction campus of National Sports University and vandalised properties of the varsity on Friday.
