A memorial museum on Sahityarathi Lakshminath Bezbaroa was inaugurated at the Srimanta Sankaradeva Kalakshetra on Monday.
The museum located on the first floor of the Sangeet-Natak Bhawan of the Kalakshetra displays rare photographs of Bezbaroa and his family in different places, photographs of his works, manuscripts and handwritings, and other objects associated with his life and accomplishments.

Minister for Cultural Affairs Naba Doley inaugurated the museum.
Speaking at the inauguration the minister recollected the monumental contributions of Bezbaroa in Assamese language and literature and in the shaping of Assamese nationalism. He said that the museum would go a long way in preserving and promoting the invaluable legacy of the doyen.
Folklorist Dr Anil Saikia, retired Director General of National Museum Rabin Dev Choudhury, Commissioner and Secretary, Cultural Affairs Preetom Saikia, and Lakshminath Bezbaroa’s great grandson Satyakam Bezbaroa also addressed the function.
