She said, “PR may look very glamourous to the outside world, but it is only the insiders who know what grilling and nerve wrecking it takes to fulfil PR goals. But the thrill that comes in the end is of course a heavenly feeling.”
Hamad Berlashker, Resources head, TIIP, informed the students that TIIP is now developing PR interventions of different durations, starting from one hour to 30 days, to meet the needs of students and other professional sectors.
‘Doyen of PR’ awards were given in recent years to NN Taye (ONGC) and Trikalagya Rabha (Indian Railways) for their unmatched performance as PR practitioners.
The course coordinator of TIIP, Subhankar Banerjee, informed that now onwards there would be regular seminars, workshops, competitions and interactive programmes held to benefit the young aspirants spread across the Northeast who dream to have a firm foothold in the field of Public Relations. A periodical publication titled “PR Research & Review” is being brought out regularly to give a platform to budding writers in the field of Public Relations.
