“We are monitoring the social media posts regarding the Citizenship (Amendment) Act or CAA,” said Guwahati police commissioner Munna Prasad Gupta.
“If we find anyone posting anything inflammatory or provocative, then we will take action against those social media users,” the commissioner reiterated.

He urged the people to use social media in a creative way and requested all to not post anything anti-social.
The commissioner was addressing the media in Guwahati on Thursday.
He further said that the police have collected enough evidence of the violent incidents that took place in Guwahati from December 10-12 during anti-CAA stir.

“We are looking into the evidence collected so far and we are investigating the incidents,” Gupta said.
