The Northeast Frontier (NF) Railway will run two special trains to clear the extra rush of passengers caused due to floods.

The NF Railway will run two special trains—one from Dibrugarh to Kolkata on Friday (July 26) and another one from Dibrugarh to Howrah on August 2, NF Railway tweeted.

The Dibrugarh–Kolkata train will run via Dibrugarh, New Tinsukia, Dimapur, Lumding, Guwahati, New Bongaigaon, New Jalpaiguri, Rampurhjat and Kolkata, it said.

The Dibrugarh–Howrah train will run via Dibrugarh, New Tinsukia, Dimapur, Lumding, Guwahati, New Bongaigaon, New Jalpaiguri, Rampurhjat and Howrah, said the NF Railway.

Both the trains will have stoppages at Mariani, Furkating, Diphu, Hojai, Jagiroad, Kokrajhar, New Alipurduar, New Coochbehar, Kishanganj, Malda Town and Bardhaman.

Following damage of railway tracks due to heavy rainfall in Alipurduar division, the NF Railway had cancelled services of 10 trains.

Most of the trains service of which has been cancelled are Fast Passenger, Demu Special and Intercity Express run across Assam and under Alipurduar division.

According to NFR railway embankment has been damaged at km 169/7-6 in between New Cooch Behar and Bongaigaon affecting railway services badly.
