Assam Congress chief Ripun Bora has exuded confidence that the Grand Alliance will win at least 40 out of 47 seats that go to polls in the first phase of elections in the State.

Ripun Bora further expressed confidence that the Assam Congress-led Grand Alliance will form the next Government in Assam.

“The Congress-led Grand Alliance will form the next Government in Assam. BJP will be ousted,” said Ripun Bora.

Ripun Bora further stated that he would take up the job of Chief Minister of Assam if the Congress high command instructs him to do so, if voted to power.

“If the Congress high command asks me to be Chief Minister, I will take up the job. But that is up to the party’s high command,” said Ripun Bora.
