The ruling BJP-IPFT alliance in Tripura is all set to have friendly contest in three seats in the upcoming TTAADC (Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council) elections.

This was announced by the leadership of both the parties jointly late on Tuesday evening.

Both the parties would put up candidates in 14 seats each, but in three more seats, the tribal-based party would nominate candidates for a friendly contest with the saffron party.

The IPFT has announced a list of seventeen candidates.

On the other hand, the BJP has announced a list of fourteen candidates.

There will be a friendly contest in three seats.

The IPFT, meanwhile has scrapped its earlier released candidates list of 18 candidates and released its new list comprising of 17 candidates.

Elections to the TTAADC would be held on April 4.
