Water levels in all districts of Assam continue to recede in last 24 hours.
As on Wednesday, a total of 691 numbers of villages in 26 revenue circles of 12 numbers of districts are having flood waters affecting a population of 5,18,623.

This was stated in an official press release issued by the Assam State Disaster Management Authority.
The districts which are still affected by flood are Dhemaji, Lakhimpur, Darrang, Barpeta, Nalbari, Chirang, Kokrajhar, Goalpara, Kamrup, Morigaon, Nagaon and Jorhat.

Presently, 374 numbers of relief camps are operational in the districts of Barpeta, Chirang, Morigaon, Nagaonand Jorhat districts with 18,890 inmates and 62 relief distribution centres in the districts of Barpeta, Kokrajhar and Kamrup.

No loss of life due to flood has been reported in the last 24 hours.
However, water levels of some rivers are still flowing above danger level at some places.

These are Brahmaputra River at Neamatighat in Jorhat and Dhubri districts; Dhansiri at Numaligarh in Golaghat district and JiaBharali at N T Road Xing in Sonitpur.
