In a case of looting and murder at Pamohi in Guwahati, a group of 10-12 dacoits killed one Jiten Daimary on Sunday night.

According to media reports, a group of dacoits reached Pamohi under Garchuk Police Station to loot a warehouse of Eastman Auto and Power Limited on Sunday night.

A report published on Tuesday by The Sentinel quoted police sources as saying that a security guard along with two others were sleeping in the warehouse owned by the Eastman Auto and Power Limited on the night.

The warehouse stores batteries and other items.

It has also been reported that Jiten daimary, a driver by profession was also sleeping inside his auto van parked right in front of the warehouse.

The gang of dacoits comprising 10 to 12 members after reaching the warehouse tied up the security guard, two others sleeping with him and driver Jiten Daimary.

According to reports, the dacoits strangled Jiten Daimary to death.

Jiten Daimary, a resident of Udalguri, was a driver of an auto van (registration no AS 25 CC 6035).

After conducting port-mortem, the body of Jiten Daimary was sent to his home.

According to information, Jatin Daimary went to the warehouse to collect battery.

However, it is no known how many batteries were looted by the gang of dacoits.

It has been reported that following the incident, the manager of the Eastman Auto and Power Limited, Dipak Tyagi, lodged an FIR at Garchuk Police Station.
