A hog deer died along the National Highway 37 in Assam’s Kaziranga after being hit by a speeding vehicle late on Saturday night. 

“A hog deer was killed in road accident yesterday at Haldibhari animal corridor,” the Kaziranga National Park (KNP) authorities said. 

Following the death of the hog deer, the KNP authorities have urged the commuters to drive slowly while plying along the National Highway in Kaziranga. 

“Drive slow, act responsibly,” the KNP authorities said.

Every year many animals in Kaziranga get killed after being hit by speeding vehicles along the National Highway 37. 

Animals in the KNP come out of the park and take refuge along the National Highway during flood season.
