Restaurants and tea stalls in the green zones of Assam have been allowed to resume operation from Monday as the third phase of lockdown comes into effect.

โ€œRestaurants and food joints are allowed to open but they canโ€™t allow dine-in services,โ€ announced state home minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Sunday.

โ€œOnly takeaway and home delivery will be allowed. Food delivery apps like Swiggy and Uber can operate as well,โ€ Sarma added.

Sarma further informed that salons, parlours and spas have not yet been allowed to operate yet.

โ€œHowever, barbers and beauticians can provide home services,โ€ Sarma informed.

Gymnasiums and fitness centres have also not been permitted to operate, the minister informed.
