The People’s Action for Development (PAD) in collaboration with Action Aid India and support from Give India on Tuesday provided 27 oxygen concentrators to Lakhimpur districts administration.

The group handed over the oxygen concentrators to Lakhimpur deputy commissioner Sumit Sattawan at DC office in North Lakhimpur.

PAD director Wilfred Topno handed over the letter to the DC and told that the Covid cases were spiraling in the district as most people unaware and reluctant to follow the Covid restrictions.

The Covid-19 pandemic period would always be remembered as disastrous in human civilization, he added.

PAD’s Deputy Director Philipson Sona displayed the parts of an oxygen concentrator to the DC.

Sona said that out of 27 concentrators 18 were 5 LPM Oxygen and the 9 were 10 LPM.

Monoj Gogoi, the Documentation and Advocacy Manager of PAD briefly introduced the DC about the organisation and it’s activities in Assam.

He also thanked the district administration for extending support in implementing its project in the district.
