The junior doctors in Gauhati Medical College Hospital (GMCH) on Wednesday staged a protest against the assault on agitating doctors by Delhi Police.

After a peaceful protest, all the junior doctors at the Gauhati Medical College Hospital expressed strong resentment against the brutal treatment meted out to Delhi doctors by the Delhi Police.

The junior doctors of GMCH held their strike from 8 am to 3 pm on Wednesday.

The Delhi Police detained the doctors while they were taking out a rally to the Supreme Court in protest against the delay in the NEET-PG counselling.

Meanwhile, the resident doctors of several major government hospitals including Chafdarjung Hospital have decided to continue their agitation till their demands are met.
