As the COVID-19 situation in Assam seems to be turning worse with the omicron variant being around, at least 19 people including twelve students of the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya in Titabor, Jorhat were tested positive for the COVID-19 on Wednesday.
As per sources, the people were found to be positive after the health department took about tests in the school.

During the tests, 19 persons including students and school staff were found to be positive for the virus.

All the persons including the students have been sent for home isolation.

The school has been sanitized and is now being checked for the prevention of further cases.
Of the total cases, 11 were students of the school.

Till December 28, the number of COVID-19 cases reported were 120 with two deaths.
