Steps should be initiated for boosting the police-public relationship in Hojai district and media should play a pivotal role, said the newly-appointed Superintendent of Police Manabendra Dev Ray.
Ray said this while having his first interactive session with the media at Forest IB premises in New Market in Hojai on Tuesday.
Sharing his experiences from the past, Ray also spoke about various issues like drug menace, gambling etc.
He asserted that any illicit activities will not be tolerated in the district.
“News reports and stories that carry the views from every side are complete news,” he said.
Speaking about the upcoming Durga Puja, the SP appealed each and everyone to strictly abide by the rules and regulations set by the government.
“It is a good sign that COVID-19 spread has been under control in the district, however, I request everyone to not to flout any norms,” he reiterated.
