The police has recovered 14 packets of ganja from a shop at Sonitpur in Assam.
Based on specific information, the police conducted a raid at a shop in Sonitpur and recovered 77 grams of ganja.
The shop owner, Kunjo Borah has been arrested.
A case has been registered under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985.

Moreover, the Sonitpur police launched the WhatsApp number ‘7002993711’ to combat the drug menace in the district.
The public can report of any matter related to drugs on this number through messages, photographs and videos.
The identity of the sender will be kept confidential and those providing information that may help in nabbing drug peddlers, will also be awarded by the Sonitpur police.
