The Assam police on Sunday recovered brown sugar and ganja from a drug peddler in Hojai district.
The drug peddler has been identified as Abdul Karim.
A case has been registered against him and he is currently behind bars, police sources said.
Meanwhile, police officials have said that they will continue the drive against drugs in all districts of Assam to root out the drug trade.

On the other hand, the police also recovered 340 grams of opium and cash worth Rs 20,00 from a drug peddler at Bhairabkunda in Udalguri district on Saturday.
The drug peddler has been identified as Govinda Thapa, who was arrested.
The contraband was recovered during an operation conducted by a police team led by officer-in-charge of the Udalguri Police Station.
A case has been registered against the accused.
