Assam’s two more railway stations recently were connected to the free WiFi facility under ‘RailWire’- the retail broadband initiative of RailTel.

The railway stations are Bindukuri and Dhemaji.

On Monday, in total 83 railway stations across the country were connected with free WiFi by the Indian Railways. Of these six are in Assam.

With this, the total number of railway stations to get connected to the free WiFi facility is 3500.

Under the Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR), a total of 68 railway stations are equipped with free Wi-Fi service.

An NFR release stated that out of the 68 railway stations, WiFi services in 23 stations were installed in a record time of one month.
