On the day when Assam’s COVID19 tally increased to 1,44,166, a total of 1,918 other patients, who were earlier infected by COVID19, have been discharged from the hospitals or Covid care centres on Monday.
Confirming the news, Assam health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma in his latest tweet on the state’s COVID19 status on Monday said: “Discharge Alert. 1918 patients discharged today.”
He also said: “I shall forever be grateful to Assam’s medical team for their tremendous team work!”
With the release of these patients, the total count of discharged COVID19 patients in Assam now stands at 1,15,051.

Assam currently has 28,630 active COVID19 cases.
On Monday, Assam registered 2,403 new COVID19 positive cases, taking the state’s tally to 1,44,166.
The new cases have been detected out of 32,242 tests in the last 24 hours, health minister Sarma said.
Meanwhile, 13 more positive patients succumbed to COVID19 infection in Assam on Monday, taking the state’s death toll to 482.
