Thirteen more positive patients have succumbed to COVID19 infection in Assam on Monday, taking the state’s death toll to 482.
Confirming the news, Assam health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma in his latest tweet on the state’s COVID19 status said: “Very sad & anguished to inform that 13 more COVID19 positive patients have succumbed to the disease.”

The victims have been identified as Dilip Kumar Baruah (59) of Sivasagar; Nilambar Mili (75) of Dhemaji; Prafulla Konch (65) of Dibrugarh; Rashmi Hatikakoty (26) of Sivasagar; Binod Roy (41) of Dhubri; Kumud Saharia (75) of Darrang; Ravindra Kr Das (68) and Robin Sonowal (60) of Jorhat
The other victims are Priyanka Saikia (24) of Golaghat; Bipul Chandra Das (40) of Kamrup Metro; Hemachandra Deka (65) of Udalguri; Laru Gopal Sarma (73) of Nagaon and Bimalendu Dutta (58) of Udalguri.
“My condolences to all the families. We stand by you in this hour of grief,” health minister Sarma said.

Assam has so far registered a total of 1,41,763 COVID19 positive cases.
With the demise of 13 more patients, Assam currently has 28,145 active COVID19 patients.
On Sunday, Assam registered 1,292 new cases while 2,251 patients were discharged.
