Assam health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma took to his twitter and joined the bandwagon of celebrities and politicians who wished the best for former India captain MS Dhoni and Suresh Raina after they announced their retirement from international cricket on Saturday.

“Wish #MSDhoni & #SureshRaina the best for their future innings as they say goodbye to international cricket. You both have enthralled us all & made us proud all these years. I am certain you will continue to excel in whatever you [email protected]@ImRaina,” Sarma twitted.

Apart from Sarma, others who sent out a farewell message to the two legends of Indian cricket include union sports minister Kiren Rijiju, India’s double Olympic medallist Sushil Kumar, Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh among others.

Dhoni was on a sabbatical after India’s exit from the 2019 World Cup semi-final and there were speculations about his future career.

Dhoni announced his retirement in an Instagram post.
