Assam Assembly election: Congress will win maximum seats in Upper Assam, says Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel

Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel joined roadshow by Congress candidate for Dibrugarh Assembly seat, Rajkumar Nilanetra Neog on Wednesday.

Senior Congress leader and Chhattisgarh chief minister Bhupesh Baghel on Wednesday said Congress will win maximum seats in Upper Assam in the upcoming State Assembly election 2021.

Talking to media persons, Baghel said, “We are confident of winning maximum seats in Upper Assam. I have visited many places and I have seen the support for the Congress. Our ‘Mahajot’ will form the next government in Assam by defeating the BJP.”

Criticising former chief minister of Chhattisgarh Ramen Singh, Baghel said, “He was thrown out of power in Chhattisgarh after 15 years’ rule; why he has come here. He did nothing for the state and the people ousted him from power.”

The BJP top brass has sent party vice-president and former Chhattisgarh CM Ramen Singh to campaign for the BJP and counter the present chief minister of Chhattisgarh, Bhupesh Baghel.

Baghel is the election observer of Congress for the Assam Assembly election.

He has been extensively campaigning for Congress candidates across the state for the ensuing Assam Assembly election.

He has spoken about the Chhattisgarh model.

The Congress candidate for the Dibrugarh Assembly seat, Rajkumar Nilanetra Neog on Wednesday organised a roadshow in Dibrugarh, which was participated by Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel.

Neog has been campaigning door to door to create direct contact with the voters.

Dibrugarh is a bastion of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Prasanta Phukan has been representing the seat for the last 15 years.
