The Assam Jatiya Parishad (AJP) has vouched to safeguard the rights of the indigenous people of Assam by strengthening the regional forces in the State.

AJP President Lurin Jyoti Gogoi who was in Diphu said, “To safeguard the rights of the indigenous people belonging to different communities living in Karbi Anglong we have to work together. We all have to work together for a greater Assamese society.”

“Differences among different communities in Karbi Anglong started to emerge since the BJP came to power,” Lurin Jyoti Gogoi said.

“There is no need to explain to the people of Assam about how dangerous the BJP can be,” the AJP President further said.

Lurin Jyoti Gogoi further slammed the BJP and the Congress for allegedly dividing the society on different lines and repeatedly putting roadblocks on regional aspirations.

Gogoi said, “People have seen the dangerous manifestation of the BJP. BJP is propagating fake nationalism. The time has come for regional forces to come together.”
