The film Ek Betuke Aadmi Ki Afrah Raatein , starring Assam actor Adil Hussain as one of its cast members, will  have its world premiere at the Toulouse Indian Film Festival on April 12.

Ek Betuke Aadmi Ki Afrah Raatein is a feature film about the dehumanized existence of a man named Gulmohar and his dispossessed consort Anita, until he finds love in Gomti.

Apart from Adil, the film stars Archanaa Gupta, Mia Maelzer, Rajveer Verma and Raghav Jhingran. The film is directed by Sharad Raj.

Produced by Sharad Raj, Saleem Javed and Zaheer Ahmed, the film is also known as ‘Joyous Nights of A Ridiculous Man’.

This year, the Toulouse Indian Film Festival will be holding its 7th edition from April 10 to April 15.

The festival helps in the promotion of Indian films in France and is held in Toulouse, a city situated on the banks of River Garonne and the centre of European aerospace industry.

Apart from showcasing films, the festival also helps in popularizing the Occitanie region of France.

The first edition of Toulouse Indian Film Festival was held in the year 2013. The festival established under the umbrella of a non-profit organization was earlier known as Indian Season.

It was renamed as Toulouse Indian Film Festival in the year 2015. The French name of ‘Toulouse Indian Film Festival’ is ‘Festival des Cinemas Indiens de Toulouse’.

Adil Hussain, a recipient of National Film Award, has acted in English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Tamil, Marathi, Malayalam, Norwegian and French films.
