Following the direction of Arunachal Pradesh‘s Capital Complex Deputy Commissioner Prince Dhawan, the Agricultural Produce Marketing Committee (APMC) has regulated the prices of agri and allied commodities (meats, fruits and vegetables) at the Tuesday APMC Market in Gohpur near here.
The prices are at display in the market.

DC Dhawan informed that the items now would be sold at a uniformed rate for the convenience of the public and hoped that such a step would ensure better marketing experience thereby reducing unnecessary chaos in the market.
He further informed that the APMC is also working on regulating prices of retail market in the Capital Complex.
The DC further informed that this step was taken as complaints were received from public about exorbitant prices that were fixed randomly by merchants causing inconvenience to public.

Dolang Akom, APMC member secretary informed that two separate price regulation have been displayed for morning and evening shift and the price regulated at the market is retail price which is less than prevailing market price.
APMC is a statutory market committee constituted by a State Government in respect of trade in certain notified agricultural or horticultural or livestock products, under the Agricultural Produce Market Committee Act issued by the particular state government.
