Arunachal Pradesh state president of National People’s Party (NPP) Gicho Kabak on Wednesday inaugurated the new office of the party at Aalo, the headquarters of West Siang district.

Also present on the occasion were, MLA Tanga Byaling, party vice president Nima Sangey Saling, general secretaries Kibi Kali and Porchu Tamin, youth president Kamsi Bage and a host of other party dignitaries, leaders and workers.

Speaking on the occasion, Kabak, while highlighting the background and upcoming programmes of the NPP, said that the party has in a short span of time spread its wings in 18 districts of the State.

“Recently seven MLAs of PPA merged to NPP while reposing their faith on the leadership of Conrad K Sangma, the national president of NPP and present Meghalaya Chief Minister.

Besides this, more and more youths of the State are shifting their loyalty to the NPP as they want a change in the development process,” Kabak said.

The party chief further announced that that the NPP will not have a pre-poll alliance with any political parties in Arunachal Pradesh in forth coming Parliament and Assembly elections, however, it may opt for post poll alliance with one of them.

MLA Byaling, who is also the NPP legislature party leader, said that NPP is one of the major players in north-eastern politics and will soon become prominent in the national arena as well.

He said that NPP would be one of the cleanest and best political parties for Arunachal Pradesh and appealed to the public to support it.

Byaling also encouraged the party workers to work hard for expansion of party’s organization up to the grassroots level as the elections are round the corner.

Former minister and chairman of Aalo Town Public Welfare and Development Society (ATPWDS), Kento Ete said that the road communication in the district remains in a bad condition in spite of repeated appeals made to the State Government.

While welcoming the leaders to Aalo, he extended his support to the party in its future endeavors.

Party vice president Saling said that NPP is tribal centric party with a national aspiration and it looks to promote the tribals, scheduled caste, schedule tribe and people from other backward classes.

Among others, West Siang district president Tummar Bagra, general secretaries Kali and Tamin, block president Yomli Sora also spoke on the occasion.
